Honestly, I can’t wait for some cheap android clones to come out that I can run home assistant dashboards on. It’ll be sick when it doesn’t rely on big tech.

I’ve been coding personal projects and tools for years, expanding my knowledge and skillset, and making some awesome stuff, but I’ve never seriously pursued a career in programming, and only briefly did I flirt with the idea of going into IT. Heck, I barely ever even share any of my code, once in a blue moon I’ll upload a script, or do a PR for a bugfix in a program I frequently use.

Lol, every piece of high tech software I am forced to use has gotten significantly worse in the last few years. There is an absolute correlation between the degradation in software quality and the rise of LLM generated code.

I’ve never been a Mac user, but I always loved the skeuomorphic shelf look the dock used to have. I wish we’d bring skeuomorphism in modern OS and software design.

Could be a VPN issue. I’ve had issues like this that I’ve fixed by changing my exit server. But I’m unsure what the root cause was in those cases.

Part of why, I wholeheartedly believe, we should completely ban consecutive terms. Not just for a single office, but cross offices. You can’t be a senator and run for president, or a mayor and run for governor.

If we forced politicians to complete their entire term before running any new campaigns, I think we’d get some real change.

Considering the “left” in America, is just right-wing light, here it’s more like.

“Left”: let’s hold the breaks down so we don’t slip further back

“Centrist”: let’s let go of the breaks so we can stop when we get back to the right amount of racism
