Orange in soul 🤭

If someone knows how to code, helping with their favorite projects is greatly appreciated too.

Or how communism operates, perhaps.

“You will own nothing and you will be happy”. No inequality if everyone’s equally miserable, and helps push the acceptable amount of control. Something not just these companies do, and that I have the impression that isn’t even originally their agenda.

But on lack of contents, mislabeling, lack of cross-federation between BookWyrm and NeoDB, not unsolvable issues. Like people would complain about Lemmy in 2022 but now is pretty active, edits on entries (at least on NeoDB) being possible for any users afaik (though might need approval to avoid abuses), cross-federarion being possible to suggest in the softwares’ issue trackers, and so on.

Can’t tell for others, but I try to use NeoDB (@Auster@eggplant.place) whenever I remember to. Just don’t use it more because I’m pretty busy.

Iirc the first news are about a month old now, pretty recent stuff. Having followed console modding and emulation for some decades now, from my experience, patience’s the key.
On the Switch 2 specifically, I made a thread of posts a while back, listing my irritations with the console and its overdependance and overreliance on internet connections.
But if you’d be interested in following news on the matter, GBAtemp’s a good source for that, and adjacent to that there’s also !emulation@sh.itjust.works and !emulator_news@crust.piefed.social (latter one run by me hehe). In fact, GBAtemp has RSS feeds, so I think I’ll link to Piefed too.

Some more… hypertense individuals might see all these recent news and think Linux as super flawed. I’d think otherwise, Linux is becoming popular and so it gets a lot of new QA (though how it’s reported from what I see feels mishandled).

I don’t consume fanfics most of the time, but imo alternatives are always welcomed.

Maybe worth considering moving to Mbin instead? Piefed from what I can tell is somewhere in the middle of the two.
Otherwise, if you self-host, put the limit to some astronomical level so no human would reach it. Or comment the limit out if possible.

Going to offense now, it seems. Not someone to have a conversation with, then.

Doesn’t make it less of a venue for such strategies.

Quoting my other reply:
It’s a strategy of manipulation to write a headline in a way that headline readers will get the wrong idea despite the headline technically not being wrong, and also making people that do read the article to already hop in with a bias.

Yet to read the article, but the headline makes it sound like it wasn’t already full of asset flips, lazily made AI contents being an extension to those.

Maybe the protocol itself could be used as the API? Set up a local instance, similar to what Holos does, and pulls data only from instances reporting to be powered by BookWyrm (or NeoDB).

Hadn’t seem. RIP.
Well, made a post elsewhere. Don’t think anyone follows me there, but hopefully serves at least as a bump.

Skimming through it, it doesn’t seem to be as accessible for reviews though.
