The Aalborg IKEA store was inadvertently an emergency shelter a few years back during a severe snowstorm. In a short time frame a lot of snow started falling, completely blocking all traffic (I was out of town that day and a 30min flight home turned into a 30 hour nightmare. It was bad). IKEA staff and the few customers that couldn’t get home stayed the night and got to choose any bed in the store they wanted to sleep on.

I mean thats actually smart, a single ikea has thousands of furniture items, probably hundreds that are suitable for sleeping on, staff, kitchen equipment, amenities, frozen, refrigerated and dry foods, water, etc.

I dont know if i could sleep there without waking up from nighmares of SCP-3008
