My cat in the past never saw the streets, so he took every chance to escape. He was so energetic/playful/hyperactive inside.
This new cat, she is young but rescued from street, she is little bit more easygoing and doesnt attack yuu when you pet her.
They both stayed alone in a 7m² balcony and we let them roam in my room when we are not at work.
I think they shouldnt be staying inside a house at all, they need to run and climb trees. The 1st cat I mentioned now live with my relatives who have a private garden, I am guessing he is much more happy now. Because he was not an indoor cat.
We rescued this cat for temporarily, until her scar is healed and we are planning to release where she was found. Do you think a room that small inhumane for a cat or street is worse.

Hmm, funny you mention birds. Do non-American cats not destroy bird populations? Do they not get hit by cars? Do they not get stolen? Do they not catch diseases such as FPV? Must be weird American things, for sure.
If you cannot read your cat’s emotions, I feel very bad for your cat.
Every expert and humane society will agree: keeping your cat in is the humane and smart thing to do. You can’t even argue otherwise because it’s just proven to be the case.
You’re letting your headstrong opinions harm your cat and your ecosystem, a truly American approach. So, congrats, you’ll fit right in with everyone else in America that lets their cats out (something that you seem to think doesn’t happen in the US, for some reason).
