I fondly remember the Beast from the East blizzard in Ireland in early 2018. Got a whole paid week off work because the entire country was basically in lockdown since Ireland isn’t used to that sort of weather condition. Cozied up at home, and one day I put on my winter gear and walked from Dublin to Howth and back. I was the only person outdoors. No cars, no busses, no trains, no pedestrians. It felt like 28 Days Later, just without the Zombie apocalypse. ^^
It really is. Some adults do get actual snow days though in jobs you can’t do under the conditions.
During the remote work era it was a bit of a bummer that there were no more snow days
Now that we’re in the return to office era, does that mean we get snow days again? Fuck no, you can work from home those days (but only those days)
