First thing I did when I moved into my house was build a small, half-height room in the garage, that connects to the hallway via a cat door.

That’s where the cat box goes.

Don’t go to New Orleans, floors in even the nicest hotels are sticky. Even the carpet is sticky. It’s disgusting.

the wc is not a good place for it. litter is made to absorb humidity. you are basically putting your paper towels in the rain before using them

We use a clumping litter and haven’t noticed a problem having it in the bathroom. We do have a good vent fan in there though, and use it with every shower to help prevent mold.

Our present cat treads much less litter than any previous. But that’s because she doesn’t bury anything, just steps delicately out and scratches the wall.

Can you lend your cat 5 min? Mine need a teacher, cause they carve it out like an archeological site.

I’ll oust myself, I do. I got a small apartment and in the bathroom next to the shower stall is a nice place to put it.

My cat also sometimes drags out stuff other than sand with her fur and I rather want that to be on the bathroom floor than my bed or living room carpet. He’s a fluffy one, so stuff sticks to him.

But I got one of these closed litterboxes with the entry on top, so I really don’t have much litter on the floor.
