Goddamn that was a heartbreak to read. I used to admire SciAm so much for making hard science accessible so it’s painful to see them gutted.

The last time SciAm was good was in the 1970s.
This is happening across the board for all forms of media right now. Billionaires are strangling free speech because it hurts their profits.
Springer Nature entirely lacks the values needed for a group that controls so many science publications.
