Maybe, but you cannot expect an entire societal mindset to change overnight, and for many, it’s never going to change. Society in many places can’t even agree that women are equal to men, which is like, step one for any other equality mindset going down the line, for example. Because it’s been engrained into culture.

Even places with better mass transit than the US like Europe or Japan still have cars. Mas transit works great in some areas and terrible in others. Which is also why its going to be impossible to make it work 100% of the time for 100% of situations.

Even before cars, we had “individual transport” with things like carts and horses etc. mass Transit isn’t even an old concept.

Yes but let’s say, in the interim, we make cars that are more efficient and better for the environment, and make them affordable enough that everyone can use one.

Self hosting is always the best way to go.

I was saying that even being close to work, mass transit is a huge time investment.

The point of society is to live on.

And I said “basically at.” As in, make SOME money, just not excess money.

No, you walk 10 minutes to the bus stop, then wait 20 minutes for the bus to come, then an hour for it to go around to the other stops and get to your destination, then work 8 hours, then oops, buses don’t run as much after 5, so now you wait 50 minutes for the bus because it comes hourly and you get off at 5, then ride another 30 minutes, then walk back in 15 (because you are slower and tired.)

Or drive your car each way 15 minutes.

No shit. I feel like this company has enough money they could produce a $10k Electric car that is basically sold at cost.

What gets me, is they had The Rock with his little tank truck that would ALMOST believable be able to drag it around maybe, but still probably not very fast. Hell at one point they || Swap the real safe to a garbage truck || and I would find it more plausible that they put some huge engine in the back of that and sped it around more easily.

I can’t handle the safe drag scene in the 5th movie. There is no way those Chargers could drag a safe full of money with any sort of speed, if at all. I don’t care how reinforced the frame is, or how much NOS they throw at it. Even if the thing happened to have wheels on it.

I can accept shit like, cars parachuting from a plane, and cars on ice battling a giant submarine, but not that stupid safe drag chase.

I mean, just using this general location, if you started in Chicago and went south on 57 out of Chicago, you might still be in Illinois at the end of the trip.

Yeah, and this is NOT a “blame the victim thing” but women and children get to have pressure to just accept “their place” as the “lesser” but there are probably a fair number of dudes who get a similar pressure to “accept their place” as the better.

For the benefit of a lot of asshole dudes being able to feel good about being assholes.

It’s part of why that block of assholes is really pushing back lately against progressive ideals. Because it’s a threat to the idea that “if you are a dude, you can just do it, it’s your place.” Especially as more and more men pull back and realize “I don’t have to be an asshole, I can respect others.”

It makes the assholes way way more obvious.

A quarter going to 5 or more countries feels incredibly generous.

Hell a quarter never traveling also feels like a huge under estimate.

Granted, unlike, Europe, we aren’t all a 30 minute drive from another country.
