How are you going to get “reputable” “working” alternatives without trying them? You’re acting as if “theoretically” is somehow bad, while literally any system was theoretical before it was implemented.

Even before human’s appearance, species went extinct all the time. I’m not saying that destruction of ecosystems is good or anything, but in this case I wonder why you would try to save these specifically. They seem to just be random grasshoppers, of which there are probably a million different kinds all serving roughly the same purpose, I don’t see how one of these species would be missed very much.
