I have had to deal with the byzantine bureaucracy we had before and the mess we have now. As I said, killing DHS would be a difficult thing because of the short sighted politicians and the short sighted electorate. Y’all got what you wanted.

We use the the same heating element that runs the drying cycle to add extra heat to the incoming water. It works, but it isn’t enough to add all the heat needed to start from cold fast enough.

US dishwashers often do have a wimpy heating element. It gets used if you have a setting for extra hot water or a sani-rinse cycle. It wouldn’t be a big deal to have the dish washer heat it’s own water, but it would require either running a 220V circuit to the machine to make it practical or put up with a very long wash cycle.

Though frankly, washing in cold water is fine as long as you scrub well enough. But you do need to do the rinsing in very hot water to finish the job.

Edit to add - I didn’t explain the extra heating to the water well enough. The wimpy heating element doubles to do extra heating of the water and is used for the drying cycle.

At this point, it’s going to be neigh on impossible to do away with the DHS. Few have any idea of just how much stuff has been crammed into that department. Everything from law enforcement down to FEMA and even the fire trucks and boots your local fire department use.

That monster is huge.

It’s easy enough to design and even build a bear proof garbage can. So long as you are OK with locking out 90% of the users.

Oh I still sweat. So don’t worry about that. Using deodorant I can still smell like a boar pen within an hour after use. Even if I’m just sitting at a desk with my eyes closed.

AI IS a useful tool for some things, just not everything. So it ain’t going away. Just as the “cloud” is still with us. Or email. Anyone remember when every ISP had their own email?

Every new idea goes through the process of catching on, stupid rapid growth, and then the weeding out of 90+ % of them, and finally the stabilizing the market for those that actually need and use it. Whether is cars, TVs, Cell phones, or AI, every hot new idea goes through this process.
