Whoever is using those diapers probably has diabetes then, because it’s making the milk taste sweeter.

OK, fair. They are different, and it’s especially noticeable at room temperature and more so if warm.
I find it much harder to notice the difference if it’s cold, and almost impossible if I’m mixing it with tea or coffee or cereals, but some people might just be more sensitive than I am.
Ah that makes sense, I thought you were making a distinction between UTH and HTST - they’re different, but for someone who doesn’t like milk they’re the same thing.
The point of UHT is that it keeps for months at room temperature until open, the only point I can see of selling it refrigerated is because people there expect it.
No idea how it can taste “nasty” to you though, I get that it’s a bit different, slightly sweeter, but cold out of the fridge I’m not convinced everyone could tell them apart, let alone if you’re pouring it into cereals or for cooking/baking.
TIL that in many countries people don’t buy UHT.
That’s crazy to me, there’s always boxes and boxes of milk in the pantry, no way I could store all that milk in the fridge
I know, and it’s a burden, it distracts from my brilliance.

politics @lemmy.world•Trump Tells Cheering Crowd: ‘I Could Say the Stupidest Things and You’d Clap’
10·4 days agoSomehow I don’t think it’s out of context? Someone who is so supportive and loving to the point of ignoring the most blatant stupidity is a damn right dangerous idiot and a fool, and trump very clearly captured that.
There are old people who are considerate and kind, and the story here is more about two grown ass people still behaving like mischievous little kids - at least that’s how I read it and it’s endearing, there’s no need to be imagining bad things about any of them.
Knights of Guinevere is an animation series by Glitch, the creators of some other amazing works that are freely available on YouTube.
The 2nd episode just came out the other day, the series is set in an amusement park planet, where the two main protagonists (so far) find a damaged Guinevere robot, the mascot of the park, that seems to have experienced some… brutal treatments, and is unlike all the other Guineveres.
I highly recommend their work, it’s really great. The only downside is waiting months in between episodes…

Europe@feddit.org•Trump strikes diesel deal with Putin, reversing years of pressure on Russia over Ukraine warEnglish
5·4 days agoUkraine needs a few more long range missiles so they can blow up those refineries and fuel depos.
Freezing Russians and paralyzed front lines because of lack of fuel and getting ground down to mulch, while Putin sells off diesel to the Americans might just add that extra straw to the camel’s back.
It’s unlikely, but crazier things have happened.

Sure ask me again for that tip, APP. Do it. I dare you.
Well yes, he’s just not up to snuff on atacc at the moment.
Don’t make it conditional. That’s how we got into this * waves arms around * mess.
Anyone that thinks that a soup is something you can eat in “bites” is either a lard abuser or lives in some -40°C frozen wasteland
Fight on.
AliExpress has it at like $15 for 5 rolls, don’t know if it’s any good but I mean, for $15 just give it a shot.

Boxes as in the typical tetrapaks. They’re very much like the regular milk cartons I’ve seen sold in the US, and basically built the same way but have an additional very thin aluminum foil layer in between the cardboard and plastic, to provide a more complete barrier against light and oxygen, and nowadays they even sell them with screw caps and what not.
Either option still seems much better than plastic jugs, to me that just screams liquid laundry detergent or motor oil.
