It can, but the water heater in your building/house is a better heater than the dinky one built in to the machine

Do you run the water in your sink until it’s hot before turning on the dishwasher? Most kitchens are set up so they use the same water line, and starting with cold water if you don’t do it will make it clean worse.

I agree with this, but I think we should have some kind of linguistic distinction between pride as in ‘I’m proud I’m not one of those inferior people’ and pride as in ‘I am not ashamed of my heritage’. Because having one word being used both ways has led to people with wildly diverging interpretations of the same sentence.

By contrast, I was exposed to so much pollen as a kid that it literally turned the streets yellow every year and I’m horrifically allergic to most plant pollen. Tons of ads about how there’s a loophole to make it so that everyone can be taxed*, ads about how unions and teachers are against it, ads from people who ‘changed their mind’ about it, etc. I think I’ve got some that came in the mail that I let my cat have (he loves to shred paper).
