IMO, its the best choice overall. I’ve been with them for a good decade and have only positive things to say.

It vomits a black box
No. No it doesn’t.

and the UI/UX was a solid concept
I couldn’t hate anything more than I hated the Windows phone UI. It constantly felt like everything was constantly cut off, or like I was looking at my phone through a keyhole.

The new Xbox coming out next year is going to have direct Steam support. And that’s no accident.
Xbox series X|S sold a total of just under 35 million. Those are actually estimate numbers, as Microslop stopped reporting their (embarrassing) numbers years ago.
Steam has an average of 38.5 million concurrent users, with a peak of 43.5 million users.
Steam is literally bigger than Microslop’s Xbox division, and infinitely more profitable. Sony’s PS5 has sold something like 91 million units.
The Steam Deck isn’t the relevant metric here. Every single computer with Steam installed is.

I’ve been using LLMs with a project that I simply don’t have enough time for. I’ve built the core of it during most of last year. And in the past 6 months or so I’ve been using LLMs to help me out with some of the more tedious stuff. Half the time it doesn’t quite get it right, and some of that time it’s just flat out wrong. It’s usually when I get the LLM to try to hunt down some bug or something. After a couple tries, I give up on the LLM and figure out the problem myself.
I genuinely don’t believe this “offloading your thoughts to an LLM” idea is universal. For someone still in school and learning? Probably 100% true. But for someone established in a skill, I don’t think it’s true, at least not entirely.

anyone that bought a cybertruck did so knowing full well that it’s a giant “fuck everybody but me” vehicle
That’s how many people see it, but I know a few people that are entirely disconnected from “celeb culture” and the news in general, and just think the cybertruck is neat technology. And to be fair, putting aside the massive safety issues with it, it does have noteworthy technology that on their own are interesting.
And I think the cross section of people who are interested in the cybertruck, people who are not particularly intelligent, and who also have money are generally going to be the customer base. It’s fine to criticize, but to say “no sympathy” when they die is gross.

Anybody that bought a cyber truck did so knowing full well Elon is a Nazi.
The cybertruck was available to buy before he went full mask off. And not everyone is “in-touch” with everything.
No compassion at all
Disgusting.
Security?
