In Canada? I thought you all had better than we do down here in the States.
Regardless, you’re still going to be triaged and have to wait if your situation isn’t urgent and other patients are waiting.

But then how clickbait?

Probably more like a young person/people who thought it was fun/funny.

OP literally asked for recommendations for being more polite. So that’s what I answered.
Edit: Also, in American English/culture, saying “sorry” isn’t necessarily really apologizing. It’s just an expected social nicety.

I took my daughter to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton after work. Because she’s a teenager and deserves her privacy, I don’t want to share too much about why, but I will say, with her permission, that it was a mental health concern. I was worried about her safety.
…
I had decided to go at that time because it was a weekday evening. Not too early, and not too late. I figured it would be better than going on the weekend, and still I expected to wait five hours, maybe even seven.
Why would you go to the emergency room for this? This is not an emergent situation. If it were, you wouldn’t have waited for days to take your child there.
This is why she was always at the bottom of the triage list. That is how triage lists work; the patient with the least urgent need goes to the bottom of the list, regardless of how long they have been waiting.
If I’m going to rent them, the prices should reflect that.
I didn’t say we do.
I have fancy knives because I cook a lot and I use them nearly every day.

Disable JavaScript on the page. Again, it works for most sites but not for a few, including The Washington Post.

He has also relatively recently said that he doesn’t rule anything out, which we all know is accurate because he changes his mind on a whim.
What is the purpose of the one with the large holes?

Yeah, but they can usually be bypassed with uBlock Origin. Not WaPo.

It’s something I did when I learned I had autism. Helped a lot. Highly recommend. I’m female, though, and very not-scary.
I have to disagree with some other responses–the combination of the statement and immediately walking away sounds rude.
Just say you’re not really there to talk to people, maybe add a “sorry”, and look away from the guy. Or you could have added “sorry” to the beginning of your statement. Really any little thing to show that it’s nothing personal.

If a voter sees armed officials at a polling place, they should alert the election officials at the polling place right away.
But what if it’s a drop box, where there is no polling official? I live in Washington, and many or most people here use unattended drop boxes.
They make fantastic pulled pork.
Took me a moment to even recognize that disaster as a foot. That poor pinky toe.
