  • First thought, be careful. Curious where you’re traveling to?

That said, in 2016 my niece meet a man online, they talked for at least 6 months. He flew out to meet her and our family for a few weeks around Christmas. By summer she flew out to move in with him, a month later they were married. They have 2 kids now and are as happy as 2 people can be juggling raising small kids, work, and a family business lol.

  • Several years ago my son bought my daughter-in-law or tortilla blanket. A couple years later we found a larger blanket of the same pattern, so that year we bought her the burrito blanket. Last year my son gave us a pepperoni pizza blanket. Given enough years, we’ll have all the foods LOL.

  • How about Springfield?

My parents retired to the Ozarks 30ish years ago. Beautiful area, had a house built on the side off a mountain in the middle of nowhere (Cape Fair technically, but same difference.) I just remember Springfield being the closest city if you needed anything better than what the Walmart in Branson West could provide.

  • Working in hospice and working with people as they approach their transition and end of their experience here, there’s a touch of comfort and anxiety watching the many ways people can go. There are definitely preferred ways to go, and some that are heartbreaking, and some that I would personally find terrifying. Don’t fear comfort meds. They’re there for a reason.

I’m 54, dealing with perimenopause symptoms finally drove me to desperation to finally address my needs. Consultation with a neuropsychologist, 2 weeks later an appointment for 4 hrs worth of testing, 4 weeks later we sat down and she went over my 16 pages of test results/eval. Inattentive ADHD, executive dysfunction, with some anxiety. Adderall has been life changing. I have greater awareness and understanding in regards to many challenges in my life, and she pointed me in the direction to get more assistance if I need it.

One of the biggest motivations for doing this is also to let my adult sons be aware, since there are genetic possibilities. My parents never would have discussed these things, I waited till my 50s to address them. If my son’s are questioning, hopefully they find out earlier in life and can have better quality than waiting like I have.
