There is no actual evidence that anything bad is happening to the Uyghur people, and plenty of evidence that China fixed their terrorism problem the smart way, by building schools and infrastructure and creating economic opportunities.

To be clear, that’s a good thing. China hasn’t been involved in a war since the Korean War.

Every year 10 million people die from starvation and preventable disease simply because it isn’t profitable to save them. That means that every 10 years capitalism kills as many as claimed in the Black Book of Communism, the source with the highest number of fatalities attributed to communism.

US sanctions alone have killed 38 million people in the last 50 years.

The point is that authoritarian is a vague term that depends on who is holding authority and who is having authority exerted on them.
