If you’re just doing basic CRUD stuff that doesn’t need to scale, sure. Even then IMO it’s a good idea to understand the underlying database queries.

Learn SQL so your website can use a database like PostgreSQL.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Are there any songs or instrumental music that consistently are able to motivate you or lift the moods of yourself/others?

Technology@beehaw.org•Amid Starlink crisis, Finnish tech giants announce plan to help Ukraine build its own sovereign satellite system
8·8 days agoYeah, in the mean time they should probably copy Russia’s homework and set up their own mesh network.
While the language has improved over the years, I’ve personally never seen a PHP codebase that made me happy.
Yes, and I think it’s worth noting that the period the show was named after has some striking similarities to the mess we’re in today.
I guess the US wasn’t a full-on oligarchy in that period, but one could certainly argue it was heading in that direction.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Whats your favorite book? EDIT: apologies I don’t respond to your recommendations but I highly appreciate the community hooking me up with good reads. Stay lit with literature. <3

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's an often hated movie/show/game that you experienced, that made you go "I get the hate, but I don't hate it myself"? And how much did you tolerate it?

Technology@lemmy.world•Mozilla has escalated its fight against Microsoft’s relentless Edge pop-upsEnglish
3·22 days agoThere is no “not interested” button or “don’t remind me again” checkbox, only a “not now” button. This implies the pop-up could return. I also couldn’t find anything in the settings to permanently disable VPN features. Perhaps the ad won’t ever return, but it very much looks like a dark pattern and gives the impression Firefox isn’t giving me the choices I want.

And when only one of you nuts it’s an xorgasm.

There is a Python library for everything. That’s what makes out so versatile. If performance is not an issue and it doesn’t need to run in the browser, Python is virtually always an option.
