Well that sucks. IIRC a lot of my docker images are alpine based, but they’d be safe due to never having their SSH ports exposed I assume.

I’m all for preserving the internet in the case of actual deletions and losses. A temporary outage does not constitute such a loss and trying to weasel some money out of it is quite damning as well. 100% support it being taken down.

It might be hugely obvious to you, but in a generic sense “dotfiles” are just files preceded by a dot… I wouldn’t have guessed you meant a git repo but after searching it seems it’s a bit of a unixporn trend? Never heard of it until now.

375g packet. Need 500 for the family. End up using 1 & 1/3 packets, have 250g left. Rinse repeat and you get leftover packets.

I heard it straight from my Dentist (in Canada) just this last month. I was also blown away, been rinsing for decades…
*BC has increasingly milder winters, bad fire years, drought, and more obvious climate issues*

Nintendo loves you(r money)!

I recently swapped to a custom domain with PurelyMail as the backing and sometimes it doesn’t even go to spam but straight to the void. I had to add it to my work Outlook’s trusted list for it to even show up at all. Also signing up for store rewards the other day the system wouldn’t even recognise my address as valid. That said, all my emails to businesses have been responded to as normal so I have yet to have major issues.

An important point yes and I do understand that, but the major players like Steam were updated and done before I knew it. I have no doubt this could come back to bite companies/people lagging behind over the next few years, but the impact to me from websites being taken down was 0, which was my point.

I don’t remember my age, but Spirited Away absolutely fucked me up for a little while. I felt like I was in that world and was terrified of No-Face eating me up. Legitimately had nightmares… It doesn’t seem that bad rewatching it but it was not good for my younger mind.

A direct quote from the article:
Node.js flaws follow the PHP scare. Is this the end of the web?
So yeah, click-baity. The structure of the article was awkward too with lots of repetition, which makes me suspect at least some LLM use.

While the world reels from websites being taken down before critical PHP patches were released
Is it just me or did anyone else not even notice outside of articles lol… It was all resolved by the time I got off work.

I just recently swapped to Fennec and it’s correctly getting 0/12. These updates seem a bit inconsistent.

Does it massage my balls as well for that price or…

Quite a masterful play by Eby, this election is. Political hubris of the decade, mayhaps.
The KKK / Neonazis / White Supremacists are in the past.
I don’t think my parents even taught me this, but it still felt like “history”. Realising how much is still active was a wake up…
Now that I think about it, this is surely almost always a lie? I doubt many people will keep loving someone once they find out they’re a serial killer, pedophile, or worse, a conservative.

Question since you seem to know more than the average, is Podman not harder to set up? It’s part of what has held me off from it, because I’ve heard it’s more difficult to achieve things with it than Docker. Is that wrong?
While I have not done it, I could see it being appealing as it’s quicker than SSHing into the parent box first for a commonly used tool. I had a direct SSH into a systemd container for a while before deciding the extra config wasn’t worth it.
