why not?

why not?

That seems more like a task for a bus and/or tram network alongside trains, maybe also a taxi (I’d argue there should be a public transit form of taxis to fulfill a hole not covered by existing modes).
Of course, that’s not a personal failure, that’s a policy failure.

and they see themselves as temporarily embarrassed [m|b|tr]illionaires, right?

What I don’t get is why people are okay with all-day drives that could be comfy train rides. Not to mention commute traffic jams of everyone going in the same direction at the same time every workmorning and workevening.

It might change with the next AI winter.
Also, the old “AI” was already a bit of a stretch from “artificial intelligence”.
In the meantime, I’ll probably refer to the old AI as “enemy controller”, at least in the code.

how about a list of buckets?
I wouldn’t complain if this ends up backfiring on the Trump administration like it did on Robespierre.

As an Enlightened Centrist[TM], I think you should both shut up

Shell has been fucking all of us living in this (biological) climate. You’re not special, Joe.
True, and the message can be applied as “what can I do about them and the systems they control? I’m only one person”

Hello fellow humans such as myself.
Breathing, amirite?

Should have planed for that

I’d argue there is a case for reddit repost/recomment/bridge bots that are properly tagged, credited, can be filtered out by users (I think that’s an option on PieFed, not sure tho), preferably managed by instance/community admins, and perhaps a few other measures just to be sure.
Sadly, none of this seems to be the case here.

What if the money supply was increased by 5%, and the new money distributed as UBI? Wouldn’t the drop in the currency value be as effective as, if not more than, a wealth tax? (This is just a rough idea with a bunch of flaws that need refining, as well as second- and maybe third-order effects that need to be accounted for)

looks up LifeLock
LifeLock is identity theft prevention software, initially sold by the LifeLock company, and now sold by Gen. The software was marketed as NortonLifeLock after 2017 and is also bundled with several Norton 360 products.
Makes sense :P

At least you’re making the traffic flow faster, no?

We need names of parties and individual politicians who withdrew support so we can withdraw support from them, too. (At the absolute least when it comes to voting)
Hopefully things can turn around a bit after the US midterms, at least?
