Title made me think this was just an article explaining the well known Kevin Bacon thing, but it’s so much more than that!
Very well put together, lots of fun data to sift through. Turns out Bacon is not the centre of Hollywood and never has been.

One screen of my most frequently used apps, no folders, and spotlight for everything else. It invariably surfaces whatever I’m looking for with just the first letter, so I don’t see the point in cluttering my phone with extra screens and folders.

Weren’t you in another thread claiming to be a musicologist with 45+ years experience? And yet you can’t read or write music without AI?
The name is usually what people blame, but if that’s the case why did they succeed with NES being followed up by SNES? Or Game Boy followed by Game Boy Color and then Game Boy Advance?
Hard to fault them for following a pattern that had worked great for them in the past.

‘Number four on back and sides, and then take about half off the top with scissors.’

Not a cult, just a good old-fashioned charlatan.
People like him have been claiming to have mystical powers of insight for millennia, and there’s always someone dumb enough to pay for it.
I see it all the time even here on Lemmy. Americans love to wade into international communities and act like the US perspective always applies.
A recent example would be a discussion in a UK community about upgrading ANPR cameras to catch ghost plates, but a couple of yanks decided to pop in and get angry about Flock cameras, despite the fact that ANPR tech has been around without controversy for decades here.
It’s not ALL Americans, obviously, but it’s enough of them that it’s a known issue.
Sure, I’m just saying that might be one factor in why they’re not exactly eager to promote the movie these days.
Perhaps because it stars a famous pedophile

rather than being designed to generate a profit, Unity’s main aim for the system is to encourage more people to make games
Astoundingly myopic journalism.
Humans are awful at probability, so yeah - there would be an entire highly-profitable industry centred on hand detection and protection products.

Hooded Horse, presumably? Not ‘Borse’. I can’t confirm since the link doesn’t work.
Also isn’t archive.is the one run by a vindictive chud who’s been using it to DDOS someone’s blog? Just post the original article.

Congratulations, you’re a hipster!
I did exactly the same thing with a hand drill as a kid hahaha

There’s a similar incentive to this Windows 11 one, but for macOS. Yikes.
Not sure why that warrants a yikes; macOS is far more usable than Windows 11. I’d go so far as to call it downright pleasant in comparison.
Police violence isn’t just a US-specific problem.
