I don’t like seeing it either, and it makes me uncomfortable when I see it in a Steinbeck novel or a Tarantino film. Does that mean we should destroy any works that make racist remarks? I think it’s good to be aware of our history, it all its ugly forms. Otherwise you’re just pretending that such things never existed, and then how we can hope to improve?

12·17 days agoDo you not feel that a protest or riot should have a set cause and demands?
If the small business owners are not in the streets with you, they are part of the problem and their businesses are legitimate targets.
Fine in theory, but difficult in practice. I’m sure there were plenty of such people in the French protests, but no sign saying ‘please don’t attack my business, I’m with you’ would have made any difference. The targets have been somewhat indiscriminate. What I’d like to see is a coordinated effort to riot, but I’ll concede that this is perhaps an impossible ask. Maybe we just have to accept that there will be collateral damage in these situations, but ultimately it’s worth the cost?

12·17 days agoI mean, surely a protest needs a cause? And the ones in France started in regards to the failings in the school system, which is a totally valid reason. The situation eventually led to rioting, no doubt partially because of the heavy-handed response from the French police. My point is that it’s unfortunate when the riots devolve into looting of small businesses that were never the target of the initial protests; it takes away from what the protestors were trying to say. I’m not saying not to riot, I’m saying target government property.
It sounds like you’ve taken my post to be referring to the US, but I was specifically referring the news I’ve seen coming out of France. “people like you are not only part of the US’s problem”. My friend, I’m not American. The situation over there is different yes, and the democrats message in the post is pathetic. People in the US should indeed be rioting.
My main point here is that they need to be coordinating and targeting the institutions that matter.

25·17 days agoRiots are fine when it’s damaging government property or large businesses, but I don’t see how it’s helpful to society when small businesses are getting their shops smashed and looted. No doubt this is done by a small number of bad actors taking advantage of the situation, but it feels like it takes away from the message of the protests.
Lmao if I do it, I’ll report back 😎
Well in the illustration the spiral is thick enough that you do get a decent amount of core along with the crust! I’ll take it
but even then, some people get crust and others don’t. I guessss that might suit some people’s preferences, but I feel like you’d end up left with most of the crust pieces
I think option A is the only viable one here! B and C fuck up the crust-to-centre ratio
If you have a big group, just buy more pizza. That said, I do want to try eating a pizza spiral now

I spent a few minutes wondering how it’s possible for the pull tab to be attached off to the side like that
Then I realised oooh it’s just come off and you’ve placed it there
