All these comments about the URL being unprofessional or whatever, and I am just now realizing what they mean by that. I saw anubis.techaro.lol and didn’t get what about that was unprofessional. Professional tools can be named after mythological beings, etc. It wasn’t until seeing your comment here that I realized lol may seem unprofessional or something.
4K Blu-ray discs have some extra encryption or something and most PC disc drives do not work with it. This forum post seems to be the go-to community resource for identifying the specific models which actually are capable of ripping 4K Blu-ray discs: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19634
But standard Blu-ray and DVD can be ripped with pretty much any drive. Go nuts.
Voyager is designed to work on basically any kind of device. It is available as a web app or on most of the major app stores, including Flathub for Linux use on desktop if you want.

While Thunder is primarily designed to be a mobile app (and only Android/iOS builds are officially distributed), I have certainly built it from source to run on my Linux desktop just to try it. It’s just a Flutter app. The Flutter documentation outlines how to build a Flutter project for Linux.

But you really have to ask why you want a native Lemmy app instead of just using the website on desktop. There some convenience factors for mobile apps, but I can’t really think of why someone would not just want to use the website when using the platform in desktop. Perhaps they just really want the same exact UI across every device or something.
Probably because that post they linked was posted by their lemm.ee account, not their piefed.social account. The problem is that lemm.ee shut down; that Lemmy instance no longer exists. That post had federated to piefed.social at some point before lemm.ee shut down, so that is why it shows up there. But that post had not federated to lemmy.zip before then, so you are not able to find it by looking it up there now.
People complained when the Tesseract dev did that. Though that response may have been emotionally charged due to what was also happening with Tesseract.
