Yall have some wrong kind of onion. Where I am, raw onion is clean and crunchy like fresh cabbage. Do yall buy onion only after it has been lying around in warm air for a year?
What really has awful texture is boiled cabbage or onion.

You could gently dip your toes in the water by starting with ‘Barefoot Gen’.
The facts that I’m sweating quite a bit and that pores can be clogged, refute that statement.
Alas, discussions of the topology of humans always miss the existence of pores.
True, however iirc the tools panel layout can be adjusted in standard GIMP — maybe not to the width of one icon, and by default the panel is also used for the tools options. Afaiu there was more sense in Photogimp when GIMP had floating windows, those really were dark times.
My main issue with GIMP is that I can never memorize the location of the buttons for less-frequently-used tools, and the icons are not too recognizable. But that can be fixed with an icon theme, and perhaps with reordering the buttons if that’s indeed possible.
which is false
“Trust me bro, it’s completely different.”
Actual apps: tools on the left, layers on the right, the pic in the middle. The important menus are in the same places. Apparently Photoshop users lack pattern recognition.

Pike said that her arms were burning during the failed execution and asked if it was supposed to feel that way.
That’s a sign of the injection going a wrong way, namely somewhere else than the vein where it probably was supposed to be. Idk if it happens with just any intravenous injections, but I got exactly that feeling when mine didn’t go into the vein.
People both here and on Reddit keep complaining about the ‘bad UI’ of GIMP compared to Photoshop. Which UI is laid out the same way as in Photoshop.
Hence, ‘machine learning’.
What is a human really, but a long tube from the mouth to the ass.
Fun fact: you actually can in Pascal, even when building from binary dependencies.
Countable nouns vs mass nouns.

Fish and chips are kinda okay.

Convenient because afaik all images produced by the US government are automatically in the public domain.

My default posture.

The lack of a shadow is actually a plot point in the novel — rather early on, so not much of a spoiler. I greatly recommend the book, and it’s especially magnificent if you find an audiobook with voice artists that know how to have fun while doing their job.
As for cheating, I meant the bright outline around Varenukha’s silhouette.

Personally I like the managing of light and shadow to create the contrast between the objects on different planes of depth in the image — particularly in the Sokov picture. Although the artist was obviously cheating in the Varenukha and Rimsky pic.
I didn’t like onions in my childhood. I grew fond of them when approaching adulthood, particularly when I moved out and started properly cooking for myself and buying my own fast food. Now a sandwich without onion doesn’t taste right.
So I think it’s rather a matter of a particular configuration of tastebuds. Just like I grew out of liking overly sweet foods.
