Same people, different disguise, specially on Lemmy.

Has he tried renaming it to “super duper intelligence”?

Finally, I was getting sick of every nuclear proponent who seemed to discard it.

They are really going to be used for one thing: walking flock surveillance. They are going to be deployed around neighborhoods to see who they can spot that’s latino looking enough or who’s simply on their suspect list. Wanna bet if they will get the local police departments to deploy them for ICE as well? They will spot suspects, build a profile, and when they have enough ICE moves in.
I see both as equally simplistic views. The biggest thing to be afraid of about AI is how much data it is farming on you and what you use it for, and how much of a dependency it is creating to those who control it.

As we all know, after the horse was replaced by the widespread adoption of motorized vehicles, it was free to roam the greenest plains with whichever herd they wanted, with the motorized vehicles serving them for a change, and all the feeding and stable infrastructure remaining in place to serve their needs.
People say they plan revolutions to eat the rich, but because they only ever inherently meant the rhetoric to serve themselves, they will only end up carrying out revolutions to eat themselves.

When Saudi Arabia PIF and Jared Kushner bought EA, I expected something like this to eventually happen. They would want to prop up consumable yearly microtransactioned garbage over games with more moral dilemmas than their respective regimes are willing to tolerate…

It’s an informed assumption based on historical precedent and the combination of plausible deniability with level of ease to implement that only statistics can really disprove as anything but speculation. There’s also less eyes this time around because independent observers like OSCE have been prevented from participating.
These issues are nothing new, but are so old some of the articles that have discussed them in the past are no longer even accessible:

Lemmy: Ah, but voting means supporting the means of oppression by the Bourgeoisie thus showing your support of the status quo of lage stage capitalism, and thus by voting to not drive off the cliff you are really enabling the oppression of the Proletariat.

That isn’t really what is at risk, that’s just a MAGA poll worker deliberately sabotaging the touch screen calibration. It might be an attempt at election theft, but what Trump is seeking to do is much more covert and you won’t even notice it. They will try to see if and where they can flip the tallies and mess with the paper trail if there is any, and that’s only on one of the levels he will be trying to steal the midterms.

Musk is just saying he will come after the lobbyists and large donors of his political critics.
Musk has perfected the art of bedazzling people with precision controlled compressed gaslighting.

Now? He’s made it clear where he was heading since last year.

What a garbage spew of accusations. This thread is about climate change, and it’s clearly you want to derail with a lot of baggage, which ironically enough, one side is still considerably worse than the other for each and every issue you try to shotgun with. I doubt you are American, and I doubt the why of each needs to be explained in anything other than an theathered echo-chamber.
You are both-siding this and appealing to perfection as a solution, both common appeals used in manipulation, just like the majority of this theater is doing.
Again, and again, and again, and again, and again …

Also, horrible example, coke is not water, yet you both-sides it because “it is a coke product”. Plenty of differences, a lot of them directly affecting people’s health. Or perhaps as apt as you obliviousness of how bad of a gaslight it is.
Just say what you mean, “it is a coke product” is a metaphor for “it is influenced by American lobbyists” so you imply people should both-sides it and apply no nuance.

The last rebuttal with hard facts and links just made you spew a word salad of gaslighting while ignoring anything you were offered. I don’t have any hope for you, I’m just annotating for other readers caught up in the theater.

is a Russian psyop
Your words, not his. Plenty of troll factories and gullible groups around the world, but the money pours down from where it pours down.
Both sides are not the same, one has been way worse for the environment than the other, the majority of this thread is rife with ignorance, plenty of it wilful. This thread might as well be called a theater.

Don’t stop there, call their deportation of illegal immigrants to unrelated African countries for what it is - slave trade. Slavery was never outlawed, it was just tucked into the prison and detainment system and called prison labor.

Moving slaves across international borders does what it has always done: it’s a way to hide, muddle, and ignore any remaining rights and available legal recourse they still had. Some remain detained in now completely foreign countries, cementing their slave status, others remain “free”, a freedom with an implied economic surcharge.
