It’s not hard! They need only take some decent pics and throw em into a document. Hell they can even put some text to remind people that the picture is authentic rather than AI trash from their competitors.

Technology@lemmy.world•Drone strikes didn’t take out a Russian bot farm, but we were primed to believe itEnglish
21·7 days agoYou really gotta remember the ole internet nihilistic catchphrase… nothing ever happens. Even in traditional media, the “feel good” stories were often fake or misrepresented. People really want them to be true and will definitely latch onto the narratives.

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Charged my car yesterday while grocery shopping, this is how much it costs
2·11 days agoI always assumed the cost of the infrastructure was past of the kilowatt price. I know at my school it cost them about $300k to install a half dozen charge stations. Commercial construction like that is stupidly expensive compared to running a charger at home.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why are there no normal electric cars instead of gimmicks on wheels?
1·12 days agoI would buy one if I were in a position for a new vehicle. I drive a combustion Silverado for hauling metal, but it’s just now being paid off. Once I run it into the ground I world love to have an EV equivalent. It has a ton of range and the Silverado actually have a volume knob lol. But I’d very much like to avoid spending $100k, having a car payment for the last 6 years wasn’t great 😕

0·13 days agoYeah, the Silverado EV is pretty similar. Shame it costs an insane amount of cash.

I don’t think the AI prompt is the issue. The problem with these shit posters is using fake food or fake pictures. I want authenticity and refusing to show it over some disingenuous CGI slop is just plain bad.
