The Atari 400 and 800 used a modified cassette player to store and load. It was tremendously buggy with the sync tone that started transfer.

If you knew how bad it was in the 70s… Everything was based around smoking. They gave you free ones flying… Everyone smoked. When At Sears to buy a new washer the sales guy was smoking during the pitch and so were you. Mom chained smoked in the car with the windows up. You smoked while grocery shopping. Insane.

Gen X here - we had a good quiet 20 years and then everything went entirely to hell.

I don’t agree with this study and I am not a fan of AI. Replace the AI tool that they used with a calculator. You’d get the same results. Here you are legally cheating on some task because you were told to do it - breezing right along thinking of something cool you are gonna do later and then … WHAM ! Cheaty tool gets yoinked. When I moved from middle Connecticut to San Diego all the good Italian food was gone, yes there was sushi but no good Chinese takeout and holy shit forget about pizza. Cali pizza is nothing like CT pizza and I hated it. Don’t even get me started on the mutant pile of stuff PA calls pizza.

70s child here - we cleaned stuff in gasoline, washed our hands with it after getting greasy. My dad soaked charcoal briquets in it for 15 minutes and then dumped it all onto the pile of charcoal …threw a match. In the late 80s we started to hear all about the bad stuff. Oh yeah people either dumped their old motor oil down the storm drains or like my dad burying it in a hole in the yard. “Goes back to the earth that way son”.

It’s a nice thought, the wife would go but not without the daughter and she Isn’t. I’m too old to want to get rid of everything and start again and too poor to move anything with me. Nope - I’m in it for the whole ride.

This is the truth. They live for the pure brutality of imposing their will and the indecency of it all. These assholes have no conscience and no thought except for the betterment of themselves.
