Laptops are portable. I think the point of the TV was that the formfactor and weight of the system aren’t a big issue when docked.

Sea people are more a backlash to states IMO

They were doing it before the net boom too. Roaring 20s, railway mania, Mississippi bubble, south sea bubble, and on and on.

Except we can and have learned volumes from the past by studying grave sites, but that doesn’t work for fictional sites.
