I like bazzite. It’s not for my desktop, but I do like it.
I put it on my old and dying LCD steam deck. It did good, fixed some problems, extended the life of the thing a bit.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which school curriculum books are worth rereading as an adult?
3·14 hours agoWhen I was in year 12, early 2000s in Australia, we had to read Cloudstreet by Tim Winton. I hated it because it just felt like reading for the sake of class work.
But looking back I thought I was probably being a jerkoff, so I bought it years later with no teen angst in me, and really enjoyed it. Good book, will read again.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Best electric toothbrush, Philips or Oral-B
6·8 days agoOral B I reckon, because the replacement brushes are cheap with plentiful 3rd party options. At least that’s why I bought into the oral b system about 5 years ago.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the top thing you'd want to experience again for the first time?
23·22 days agoFirst kiss. The excitement, the nervousness, slight hesitation, and then suddenly a kiss, and it was so good.
23 years later I still remember everything that happened that day.
I’m Australian and I’ve been to only a few countries. But my experience with people from the US when I’m travelling overseas is that they’re respectful and understanding that they are in another country.
What a deal!

Linux@lemmy.ml•SpaceXAI backs Omarchy, the controversial Linux distro, with $1.5 million in compute
3·27 days agoAlways has been

Random freezes during gameplay, games sitting on the Steam loading screen and never starting (restart steam deck and they load straight away),
Poor performance in kodi, taking 5 minutes or longer to load media list, video stuttering, audio not working on particular files.
Re-flashing steam os never solved anything, but just recently went with bazzite instead and it’s working nicely.
