This seems like maybe a bad idea. But I might be wrong. Best of luck!

Likewise. I never plan to host my own email server. You can bring your own domain to Proton, at least.

Baikal and any client that supports CalDAV, my friend.

“I want to get off Mr. Bones’ Wild Ride!"

Though, I learned my lesson and bought my own domain. So this pivot should be better.

I’ve been putting it off, because it took me more than a year to migrate away from Gmail. But this is hard to ignore. I’m tired, fam.
A national treasure as president? If only. I’d take a cold cup of oatmeal at this point.
Don’t do my boy like this.

Yes. Very nice.

Ideally, yes, this is how it should work. But some of our citizens do not have access to nearly all of these social resources.

I think you misunderstood. I didn’t say anyone was too dumb. It’s a question of accessibility, time, and resources. Also, what do you mean by “certain” groups?

I think a lot of it comes down to classism. While it’s probably unimaginable in a developed nation, it’s entirely possible for underprivileged citizens in the United States not to have a government issued ID. The hurdles to get one are also disproportionately greater for those individuals.
It is largely seen as a form of voter suppression. And considering our history of weaponized poll and literacy testing, that’s understandable.

I needed a desktop environment with a UI that wasn’t intended to be hidden away. Or a desktop that wasn’t challenging the way that I intend to work with the computer.
KDE may be boring and it may not challenge any paradigms. But it works well and stays out of the way.
I’ve not really shown my hand, either.
For example. I had a Slashdot account before I had a Digg account before I had a Reddit account before I had a Lemmy account.
Do not cite the Deep Magic to me, Witch! I was there when it was written.
