I do actually believe work is incredibly important. There are a few who have not worked a day in their life. If you have met them, you know just how insufferable they are. Work is invaluable. Especially unpaid volunteering.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•LibreOffice Hits 9.4 Million Downloads in Just Eight Weeks
31·8 days agoHonestly, I think the UI is worse in OlnyOffice than in LibreOffice. It’s sluggish even on powerful hardware, incredibly slow onnolder stuff, eats up ram etc. LibreOffice isn’t perfect, but it runs much better, and actually integrates with my KDE desktop. Using the tabbed interface, I find it quite intuitive for my basic office work.
In all seriousness, I used to recommend OnlyOffice as the best option. I wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole now. LibreOffice has improved greatly, I think.
Does it really matter? At that point I’m already dead. While I’m here, I’d rather stick to my own set of worldly beliefs. Stop pushing your delusion on others.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Ubuntu 26.10 Has Come Out as a Rust-Packed Interim Release
10·13 days agoI have a question. Why should I be concerned by rust uutils? Are they not just more modern implementations of the same utilities?
Although I’m sure we can vote better politicians, I’m also highly doubtful that we will vote better politicians. People are uncultured, uneducated, propagandized to their eyeballs and wholly unwilling to learn.
