Yes. It’s hard to prove because ruzi trolls are mostly real people with 24 phones proxied through real resisential/mobile ips. But, these ops still need datacenters to orchestrate everything etc. So the trolls are not destroyed just inconvenienced temporarily.

There will be very good research here in some time as it takes a lot of work to put this together as social networks do not have accessible research apis anymore. So to analyze content sentiment you need a lot of resources but there are other metrics like tracking resource utilization (like proxy pools) etc. With all that I think a good lab could produce good evidence if they wanted. The bigger problem is - why? We’re already well aware of ruzi troll networks.

Why not both? Russian strategy is well known and publicly available: amplify conflict subjects and spread maximum lies.

The original issue might be legit but it’s distorted and amplified to the point where it can no longer be solved for even with best intent. It really works.

Nah I work in bot detection. Russian troll farms are massive and working incredibly hard to destabilize the world. I’d go as far as to say it’s one of the biggest threats we face right now. It’s just destroying society for sake of destroying it and people like you still don’t believe it.

Benefited only hand full of people? What about Ukrainians themselves who see European living standards right next to them yet were stuck in ruzi systems? Do they have no say in this?

I agree, it’s the created negative environment that creates real negative effects.

People are blissfully unaware how few rights animals have and how common these type of problems are. Especially here in Asia animal rights are not existent to the point where there are many dark networks like this and people stealing pets for food etc. China in particularly is probably the worst place in the world to be a non human animal.

I used to write dark web scrapers for detecting fraud and shit you see there is absolutely insanity salvaged only by the fact that it’s incredible minority of people who are this deranged as in 0.00001% in grand scale of things.

I don’t think that’s true. Time is relative so it’s only accelerating if you’re in a comfy routine with fewer distinct points of reference. There’s an easy fix for that.
