What I mean is: your other post goes to The Guardian, so I don’t think it’s a blanket ban.

@technopagan@lemmy.world – FYI you’ve got a confused user here from your community. Pinging you since you seem to be the only mod there who’s posted anything even somewhat recently. Can you shed some light on the moderation policy for them? Thanks.

Your second post seems to be there: https://lemmy.world/post/53829743 – so whatever issue you’re running into probably isn’t due to The Guardian.

Checking modlog it looks like it was actually your Musk post that was removed?

You could try messaging the mods and ask for clarification (maybe they think its more fitting for politics than tech or something like that?) – or just post your articles in a different community instead. 🤷️

First thing that came to mind is Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle which led to, among other things, the creation of the FDA.

That wasn’t his goal though; he’s quoted as saying: “I aimed at the public’s heart, and by accident I hit it in the stomach.”

Great! Any chance you can upstream the fixes to the GitHub version? If not, I’ll try to take a look later in the week and see if I can pull those bits back out myself.

MrKaplan forked it for Lemmy World – https://github.com/Fedihosting-Foundation-Forks/mlmym

I tried taking a stab at adding some fixes to that version, but didn’t get very far. I’ve got some notes about issues I was looking at posted in the tracker there though if anyone wants to pick it up again.

We’ve got it over here on reddthat.

In the US, I’ve seen it next to the olive oil, various vegetable oils, etc. at the grocery store. You might also find beef tallow, lard, and/or commercially prepared bacon grease in the same area.

80s/90s cartoon intros, e.g.

As someone who’s subbed there, I’d rather not get spammed by a bot…

The wikipedia article’s got a few nice pics!
