Man, I really miss the tactility of older computer hardware!

In my mind it will always and forever be the CD-ROM drive, but any drive added to a standard Windows system (including partitions) will just continue the alphabet from C. So if you install a second hard drive (or partition your only one) it will become D, the next one will be E, and so on:
I’ll leave it to someone else to convey this in a biblical fashion.

Nah, he should stick to Latin and name them Pre.

Yup, if there is one demographic group this kind of behavior seems plausible for it is definitely immature, adolescent, spoiled rich kids!

21·9 days agoHonestly, most Apple users I know are well aware of touch screen laptops, and don’t want one 😅
The repo has regular commits at least a year back in time. There are a lot of commits lately with “assistance“ from AI, though. But it doesn’t look anything like “3-day slop” to me.

791·11 days agoif anything, it shows Mayer performing the exact kind of cognitive offloading that any AI tool worth its salt should free us up to focus on rather than doing for us.
This has been the focus from the start, though. Almost all of the “killer apps” for AI that we’re being sold by the AI companies are about doing the creative stuff and human interaction for us. So we can spend more time being depressed, mindless worker drones, I guess?
So UNIX is *checks notes* IBM?
They teach them “digital competence” by shoving an iPad in their face, and then they go “Look, they know how to use it! They must be computer geniuses!”
Your dissent will be live!

I think you can! It looks like it uses the pacman config on the ISO/host, and can copy it to the target.
I think it is much more important to groom your facial hair if it is… let’s say “sparse”. If I let my beard grow “wild” you just see how patchy it is 😆 If I keep it very short and trim the edges it looks presentable.

I’m going 10 miles above the limit on this incredibly wide and straight and flat road with high curbs and perfect visibility
This is the reason why people speed. If you want people to drive more slowly, you have to design the road/street in a way that discourages higher speeds. Do this, and you won’t need any invasive speed cameras or pay traffic cops to enforce.
On highways I suspect no one gives a shit. If it feels natural to drive 10 mph above the speed limit, it’s probably safe. But raising the speed limit would probably lead some people to speeding even more, with fewer options for punishing them (in my country at least, the fine is dependent on how much above the limit you were going).

They go through this in the video. The frequencies in question overlap with large portions of the vocal range, so not very practical. They also show that it’s pretty easy to recreate the data even when it’s attenuated.
