  • Gavin recently vetoed a law that would stop California from extraditing people who are charged by other states for the crime of receiving healthcare in California. He said he couldn’t restrict future governors.

Now he’s supporting a bill to restrict future legislatures from passing wealth taxes.

Not only is he a bigot, he is also a hypocrite. He is term limited from running for Governor, but clearly is wanting to run for president someday. Let me make it completely clear to anyone reading. There are no circumstances that could ever convince me to vote for newsom. I hope he suffers whatever is the worst fate that can be described while following the rules of this community.

  • Try getting a little bit victorian with it.

Back in the day, washing machines didn’t exist. Mass manufacturing didn’t exist. Clothes were very expensive so people couldn’t just wear a thing once, then put it in a machine to wash it. So they had other solutions that worked.

They would protect their clothes from getting dirty by wearing full coverage undergarments. Linen was quite common. This layer protects your actual clothes from the gross oils and stuff from your body. You have to wash the undergarment but your main clothing is kept clean and only rarely needs washing. Reduces the laundry to the minimal level that could be done by hand.

  • Median is a better choice as its less affected by outliers.

The mean average is the amount you compute by putting all the money that is earned in a big pot and dividing it up evenly amongst everyone.

Median is where you find the single most average person and ask them how much they make.

Median gives them an incentive to improve the income of the average American. Mean average gives an incentive to increase national wealth regardless of who’s hands its in, and an incentive to decrease the population. That is not a good incentive.

But also keep in mind congress members are local representatives. They need to be in DC while in session, and in their state or district at other times to be available to their constituents. The job requires maintaining two households, so they should earn enough for that. Unless we provide them college dorm level mandatory housing in the capital. Then median alone is enough.
