Really hard to recall. It was mainly about the “terms” of the daycare extension 😅. Like, it somehow started out that the new teachers were there during normal opening hours and the parents also were there in the afternoon, and nobody knew yet that those new teachers were for the extension offer. So, everyone was confused when the new schedule was introduced. Yeah, convoluten, as I said 😩
It’s mindboggling how humanity managed to find a source of such abundant, cheap, scalable and relatively clean energy… and then certain political entities demonized it and fucked it all up.
Sounds like you talk about solar and wind energy in this paragraph, 'cause nuclear ain’t cheap. Never was competitive, having nuclear energy was always about “we could build the bomb if we wanted to”, that’s why society paid for it.

For some reason our daycare had the offer to extend opening hours, but with different staff and you had to pay extra. We decided to book it, but then our kids did not want to go, because of the new staff. Mixed in some other random convoluted stuff, did not make any sense at all 😅

Yeah, but most people with dementia are not propped up with god-knows-what before being shoved on a stage.

Now I read ‘soup’ so often, I am at the soup store, just great.
I mean, technically you can have swap in the cloud. It’s not fast, but it’s there 😅.

Because if they only make small packages into containers, without actually bringing in more staff to proper test things, the desired effect is basically zero, but makes stuff more expensive for the consumer.

There are even cheap Air mouses which can learn your TV remote commands, so you can throw that in a drawer and have only one remote 👍

Well, apart from the happy moments with having kids and sad moments of family members dying, I have a very special memory of a compliment in the military (as conscript in Germany).
Some two months into basic training one of the officers said to me “I thought you could become a good soldier, but that’ll never happen”, and I just thought “No, I won’t, thank you” 😅.
What a shitshow the army is, I would never like to excel there.
Looks like that in my machine

There is a brush that came with it and the manual said the same, but after 5 years of family use, that stuff was not only in the front anymore. I had to use a pressure washer and some chlorine based detergent to get rid of everything (if I knew about an ozone generator back then I might’ve tried that against the odor).
YMMV. If you’re using it e.g. in a 2-person household you might never have that issue during the whole expected lifetime, but with our usage and especially all that babystuff, that happened, and I hated it 😅.
Heat pump dryers have a huge drawback though: the heat exchanger is woven through the condenser. So you cannot remove the condenser from the system. The lint which is not in the trap thus builds up in the condenser over time. Bad enough, but that’s also where the moisture goes. So after several years it will start to reek, and your laundry will start to reek, as the reheated air goes through there.
So, long story short, cleaning that mess: you’re going to have a bad time, as you can’t just remove the unit and cleanse it under running water. I would rather buy just a condenser dryer (or check up whether heat pump dryers became better, our model is 7 years old now, maybe they’re better nowadays).

When you and your 2000 co-founders want to start a company? Then its 2001 shares.
Reminds me of this guy:

I never get entirely how populism in itself is bad. Like, obviously there is bad populism, but the defining traits of e.g. being anti-establishment? How is it bad or untrue to say something like “there are some elites who unjustly influence our society”? That’s true, but can be used in a conspiracy or racist/antisemitic/hate kind of way.
Or like “our society doesn’t work as good anymore, because the rich stole from you”. Very populistic, it condenses a multitude of problems into one “easy solution”, so it is a populistic trait…but sometimes there are easy explanations for complex problems, that being one of them.
So, long story short: authoritarianism is always bad, but populism is sometimes good or even right.

Well, for once if it wasn’t published everybody could’ve just said “We didn’t know about what Hitler would do”…wait
Oh wow, completely forgot that one 😅. Great, loved the shit out of it.

The punishment is having a bad monetary credit score. Like with credit score all over the world. There’s nothing more sinister about the Chinese system than anywhere else, where credit scores are a thing. Granted, credit scores, especially for private persons, are pretty sinister in the first place.
What let to this misconception about social credit in China is that there were people suggesting to extend it to more general behavior. You can find people everywhere suggesting crazy shit. Like just this week a part of the conservative party in Germany suggested using the army against protests, but nobody is drawing the conclusion that Germany is preparing Tiananmen 2.0 in the capital. It was lunatics suggesting it anyway.

1 million signatures and a quorum for countries is such a ridiculous high threshold, that I am not entirely sure why they even bother.

Have you read about the punishments in the Wiki article?
Prices for woodworking are horrid right now, though, 'cause everybody is taking it up as a spare hobby 😅.
Metal craft is where it’s at. Like, at our community craftshop you never get a slot for woodworking machines, but the metal shop is basically empty 24/7
