Ohhh, I get it now.

Ohhh, I get it now.

Hair-eee!! No run with pointy stick!!! You put eye out! Oh no!

Here I am waiting for a root canal. Tooth pain sucks. Maybe it was a mercy killing.

Take off, eh!

I used to run a dehumidifier in the room while hang-drying clothing indoors.

I’m the opposite. All I’ve known is direct connection to the household hot water tank. The dishwashers all have a “Heat Boost” option which activates an element inside to add more heat if you want, but generally hot water tanks are kept about 57°C, I’ve never in my life used the heat boost setting. That’s for sterilization.

Well, the term hack has been around a lot longer than computers. Its past meaning is just no longer valid. I was watching the old tv show The Odd Couple, Felix’s daughter said she just wanted to hack around, Felix had to ask what she meant. While she really couldnt explain, “you know dad, just, like, hack around”, which in this sense seems to mean doing nothing in particular. Saying “I couldn’t hack it” has a double meaning these days.
In Canada, its kph, but theres a sign when entering Ontario from Manitoba, where the speed limit is 90 kph, “fines starting at 100 kph” and it lists how much the fine is for doing 100, how much for 110. So the Ontario gov basically sanctions doing 99 in the 90 zone, just dont do 100.
