People here are actually ridiculous, defending looters. What kind of planet are you from where looting is okay?

If you can afford Nike, you can afford a loaf of bread. I’ve met people in developing countries who are wearing sandals worn paper thin and are pushing most of what they own around on a cart. They get only one meal a day, and still refuse to steal - instead, they do whatever they can to make an honest living, however modest it may be. Those are the ones who deserve sympathy and respect, not the hooligans barging their way into shops to help themselves.

I don’t know, could it be that they’re running around in their Nike sneakers while breaking and entering, coming back out with beer and kinder surprise? They’re not exactly lamenting “we have no bread”…

Started out with a good cause, but it was quickly turned to shit by selfish, evil people. Not the first time it’s happened in France, I’m afraid.

Apparently, if you avoid doing a thing for a brief period of time, it is a demonstration of self-control and virtue. Thus, you are a better person and can nut, drink and eat uncontrollably for the entire rest of the year. I don’t personally believe in such practices. Do anything whenever you feel like it, but in moderation.

Good thing that argument fizzled out in a chase for internet points and nothing was taken out on the streets.

I know about the bolt in the stage floor. I’m a bit too top heavy and ruined in my ankles to lean forward 60 degrees from one of those.

The ankle and calf strength needed to do that. Of course, I’m sure I could’ve lifted MJ with one arm (especially now), but if I had tried that dance move, I’d have to be carried off stage on a stretcher.

I’m gonna say it: Jack Kerouac sucks. I’ve read many different authors, but none have been as annoyingly unreadable as him. You’re supposed to “ride the wave of his thoughts?”. No thanks. To me, that just sounds like a vain excuse for bad writing.
