What’s weird is that at my org we have all the security theatre and regular password changes and training videos you have to watch every month, and I just assume people ignore the training because it’s obvious stuff. It’s clearly not obvious stuff to some folks.

There’s no “account settings” in the “your account” page. There’s no “see all”, and there’s also no “shopping preferences”. I assume you’re being served a different page to me.

The UK web version definitely doesn’t have any such link for me.

If it’s “free” with a phone number and costs money to use another method (which is another form of PII) then the only explanation I can see is that having your phone number is worth at least $3 more to Signal than having your credit card number. Or maybe the fact that children can have a phone number but not a credit card and having information on kids is worth more to them.
