Land titles and taxes, some people are only staying in their current homes because taxes are antiquated and aren’t updated. They wouldn’t be able to afford paying modern taxes, but also, everyone else is stuck paying for shortfall. It’s a shitty system.

It’s a real unfair system when an old million dollar house has $100 a month taxes while a modern $70k condo has $1,200.

Partly the reason why people live in tornado alley, cheap taxes, it’s just worth it to some people.

Why on earth would you assume it would be used for active gaming? Hardly any games run off the cd anyways, it installs to the HD since it loads in a fraction of the time.

Cd drives have been usb powered for decades now, people use them on the deck, why wouldn’t they use it on VR? It’s a feature they essentially chose to remove from one device to the next.

Rivers it’s because the towns originally started from using the river to power saw mills, flour mills, or other stuff. We are in a thousand year flood zone ourself, but most of the city (99%) is out of even the 1000 zone. Theres no sense in having to travel a long distance from the mill, especially when it’s difficult even by horse.

The place we frequent they wipe the bottles down after each use, it’s a mutual thing between everyone. I don’t like supporting places that don’t even do the basics. But I always err on the side of caution, because even an employee can forget or not do an adequate job.

And cd support is the current hot issue with gaming. It’s free publicity, not many people know about it being already available and they artificially limited it. So even if people know and get it out there, the publicity generated is far more positive and washes that out.
