It’s been mostly privatized by a company based in the state that spends crazy amounts of money on lobbying
Like Minneapolis and Toronto do because of cold and ice. Not an unusual adaptation. Las Vegas also does it because of heat.
You can instantly turn anything into a weapon and you can instantly drop the floor out from anyone and drop them from the highest point you can reach.
Yes. It’s a weapon and a tool like an axe is a weapon and a tool
Then clearly architecture photography isn’t your thing. I recommend you don’t up vote it and move along with your day.
Lemmy is a funny place. Most of the time when there’s a little-used social media site, people are grateful for those who actually post content (not bots just mirroring reddit posts).
But on Lemmy I get complaints that people don’t like that I post once (edit: or twice) a day with relevant content.
Bad on me for actually posting content, huh?
It’s not my fault the place is so dead that 2 post per day looks like I’m flooding it.
And the crossposts are the right way to do it so I’m not over burdening the individual-run servers.

Think about how many things say the name of the airport. Tons of road signs, which are not cheap. Internal signs in the building. External signs. Every shirt and name badge of every employee (hundreds if not 1000). All the software. Every airline has to update stuff.

We like the idea. The people in Nashville are a little miffed that it’ll cost more than $10 million. We’d rather see that go to transit or education (and I think Dolly would have too).
Just put up a statue in the airport like Austin has SRV and use the money for something better

That would still be a huge advantage over any other machine of war in the history of warfare, even today.
You could say “how much difference would a single modern tank with unlimited ammo, fuel, and spare parts make in Afghanistan in 2010” and the answer would be at least “very significant”

It’s about avoiding taxes and regulations
Seriously?
Close-up shots of the features of cars are a normal part of car photography.
If you can’t say something nice, keep your mouth shut. Otherwise, you’re just being a troll
