Technology@lemmy.world•Proton users cancel subscriptions following CEO Andy Yen’s “loser thinking” remarksEnglish
9·3 days agoThe issue is to become a successful CEO you tend to have to believe your own lies and very quickly surround yourself with sycophants. Whats more if you buck this trend you tend to limit your skillset as societally we reward bullshit more than results.

7·15 days agoI think steam deck 2 as and when it comes out will be a golden age. I think it stands a chance to completely consolidate the market.
I make the most banging mac and cheese and it only takes like 15 mins.
Make a white sauce - butter, flour into a paste, add milk and mix til smooth and slightly thinner than the eventual intended sauce.
Add grated cheddar, dijon mustard and salt and pepper. Boil the macaroni til al dente. Mix that shit up and top with parmesan. It is incredible every damn time. The issue is that most mac and cheese is made of shelf stable food adjacent powders.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Linus Torvalds shares his thoughts on Anti-AI coding rules
11·18 days agoThat isn’t what I remotely said. I was making the point that if you want to make a credible argument against AI on an ethical basis you command more authority by accommodating a charitable account of it’s function e.g. not say it’s useless.

1·20 days agoWhat process is there which successfully prevents AI code submissions? I wonder if we’re even having the right discussion here. It’s a very hard thing to police when people are doing work for free.
