Hundreds of people participated in the production of that film. Maybe thousands. Because it’s a film. It takes a big social collective effort.

I would say that if you have a society that produces a feature length film whose basic premise is deeply eugenic and could plausibly be mistaken for intentionally-produced pro-eugenics propaganda, that you have a society deeply steeped in eugenics as a concept, maybe even moreso than one which would intentionally produce such a film as propaganda.

The mailers, addressed to the “student” of the household, include sections encouraging youth to speak with a “safe adult” or one of several advocacy groups if their parents don’t support their identity. The mailers say parents’ don’t need to be involved with a student’s transgender identity and include a section about emancipation, when a minor becomes legally recognized as an adult.

Did a little digging and found the other side of the mailer in another article from CBS

All of the information in there seems to be realistically trying to deal with the fact that a lot of trans kids have abusive parents who would rather see them dead than transition. It all seems very reasonable and appropriate to the situation. The fact that the contents of this mailer are causing death threats and legal action is insane. From the mailer:

you don’t need to have everything figured out

you don’t have to know whether you’re definitely trans

you don’t have to decide about hormones or surgery right now

you don’t have to convince your parents

your job right now is to stay safe, find people who will listen to you, and give yourself time to figure out who you are.

All of that is extremely healthy and supportive messaging and TBH I don’t think it’s a false flag set up to make conservatives vote harder. I think it’s real and the obfuscation is to protect the identities of the people who sent it.

I support everything said in these pamphlets and I hope some of them got into the hands of some young people who need to see them

All of this is technically true. But that cop was shot by another cop, the “armed participant” shot at the ground, and the fireworks and vandalism were the point, because ICE’s victims found the noise demos comforting.
