The point I am making is diagnosing the problem so that it can avoided in the future.

When a giant part of the problem is the inability to be held accountable for causing a problem, identifying that lack of accountability itself as a problem, is vital.

I agree that we should strive to be better, and I think that one of the ways we should all strive to be better is to accept and reflect upon criticism, and to also make ammends for past mistakes; to commit not only to rearing new generations in a better way, but also to improving ourselves within our own lifetimes.

  • I mean, absolutely fair, I’m just trying to say this is a thing you can study independently, and then when you’re ready, have as a kind of improved toolset for evaluating social interactions.

Though I also totally understand just being fucking traumatized by normies seemingly expecting you to read their minds and then getting angry at you for not being able to do so.

I’m autistic too, it has been a struggle, lol.

Not trying to pressure you into more immediate, complex social interactions, no, not if you are not comfortable with that.

I’m saying its a thing you can read up on, alone, independent study kind of thing. Gradually, eventually useful, when you are ready.

Holy shit, you are a clown.

Where could he have possibly gotten the idea that women said they wanted to be left alone?

You have to be delusional to seriously ask this, either that or somehow entirely unaware of the last decade and a half of social media, of the internet, filled with literally millions of videos of women saying this.

You are sympathetic to Lou in the sense that you pity him after demeaning him. You are sympathetic, not empathetic, you concieve of him as an alien other. Your ‘advice’ was just an insult, it was utterly useless, and obviously so.

You’d have to think that he had a friend circle that he just wasn’t leveraging, for your ‘advice’ to make any sense, which would imply he is an idiot who couldn’t think of that on his own.

You are now pathologizing me like you pathologized him, and you finish spending a bunch of time writing to me to conclude that writing a reply to me was a waste of time, another contradiction hiding another insult.

You can keep honking your clown horn if you want, I’ll never be communicating with such a monstrously disingenuous person as yourself ever again.

  • Learn yourself.

Find what you enjoy, what makes you happy, what drives your curiosity, what stirs you to anger, what makes you weep, what fills you with awe and wonder.

Discover who you really are, and, so long as your enjoyments and proclivities do not cause harm or grief to others, you can live a full life, a good life.

To the extent that you do discover elements of yourself that scare you, vex you, dissapoint you, or give you pause… when you have the energy, interrogate them, when you don’t have the energy, jot them down for later.

Maybe the path you’d want to walk involves many other people, maybe it involves very few, but it will certainly involve yourself, so I’d recommend getting well acquainted with that guy, he ain’t going anywhere.

Yeah, the world certainly is rough, unforgiving and quite homestly bleak in a lot of ways… but that doesn’t necissarily mean you must also be that way, simply a product of your environment.

It is what you do with the life that you have, that is who you are. There is no preset rubric, no universal standard for what that life should look like, other than the one that you might compose for yourself.

If you’re autistic and you fail at reading facial expressions, study them, academically. Like, find papers on this, read up on it.

Its more to do with microexpressions and minor details, and the underlying mechanisms of anatomy and how emotions affect the human body.

Think of the difference between a real smile, where the upper cheeks and lower/outer eyes shift upward along with the smile, vs a fake/forced smile that only involves the mouth.

Think about how a major difference between dogs and wolves is that dogs, as our human partners, literally evolved more eyebrow muscles to be able to communicate their emotional state to us more effectively.

Its not that you can’t read expressions, its that your model for doing so is wrong, its too simplistic.

You don’t need a 400 IQ, you just need patience and humility. Its not a one size fits all perfect rule set that works 100% the same on every different person, but we are all human, with fundamentally the same basic anatomy and physiological wiring.

  • It is pretty funny to accuse a person of believing a bunch of things they do not believe, where one of those bad things they are said to believe is that they invent things and make incorrect assumptions.

You’ve managed to project projection, you did a projection inception.

Like, your instincts are terrible, but the unintentional comedy is grade A!

  • … what?

Yes, Statement 1 does logically follow from Statement 2.

Statement 2 is broad and unqualified, universal.

If you accept that as true, Statement 1 definitely does logically follow from it.

If I tell you, “I want to be left alone, and be independent”, then the inescapable conclusion is that either I will initiate interaction with you, or if you initiate, you are violating my wishes.

Being independent means that one is the acting agent, not the one being acted upon, it means being the initiator or instigator, being proactive instead of reactive.

If you want to say that Statement 2 actually is qualified, has actual specific conditions where ‘leave me alone and let me be independent’ does not apply, well, then we would need those conditions to be clearly stated.

The entire problem is that they are not clearly stated, and that every single individual has different specific conditions, unique to them, which must be communicated before they can be understood.

The women I had had in a friend group like that, that I’d known since childhood, got married and/or a demanding career, and then stopped having time to talk or do anything social.

And they don’t even have kids, life is still just too demanding for a social life to also exist.

And and, I am realtively odd in that I am a guy who grew up with more female close friends than male friends, who got invited to the otherwise girls-only Buffy/Firefly/etc semi-regular watch nights.

But your whole reply here is a non sequitir…

…he’s saying that women broadly, you know, women he doesn’t already know, loudly said “don’t approach us”, so, he didn’t.

Combine that with late stage capitalism is utterly exhausting, for everyone, and … women broadly put the burden on themselves to initiate any new relationships with new men, and then did not initiate any new platonic relationships with new men.

Your reply is ‘wait you just don’t already know a bunch of women?’ Yes, obviously, duh, its inherent in the premise of their statement, in the context of the post.

The whole thing at discussion here is meeting new people. Your answer is ‘what, you don’t just already know people?’

This is an antagonistically useless thing to say.

  • If someone had been in that car, and they were not in a full on stunt driver safety suit and harness, pretty good chance they’d be seriously injured, possibly paralyzed, possibly having an induced heart attack, possibly passed out / unconscious.

Sure you can make the car itself do that… but a human meatbag inside a car doing that? Much less a typically overweight/obese average American driver?

Thats a lot of extreme g forces in violently rapidly changing axes and directions.

I wonder if Elon will provide the g suit and pilot g force conditioning regimen…

    (obviously he will not)

I also taught myself, yes, not being taught something is not the same thing as having no responsibility for learning that thing, and yes, taking control of your own life and making up for the defecits of your parents as best you can is a good idea, often vital.

But the point I am trying to make is that at scale, not everyone eventually teaches themself… and teaching your kids how to cook is… or at least was, one of the most important, oldest, traditional elements of being a parent to children. It is one of the most fundamental essential life skills to pass on.

And Boomers just largely decided they just didn’t need to do that, at a broad scale. And they are abberant in this respect. They are the first generation in at least US history to just assume that things they were taught or had the opportunity to learn … were simply universal and innate.

The spoiled narcissist generation broke a literally ancient human tradition, because they’re terrible at nurturing.

They also tend to just mock people who don’t know skills they know. Psychologically, what that does is make people feel like incapable idiots… many people who are consistently discouraged are less likely to believe they even can learn a new skill.

The ‘kick the kids out at 18’ is also largely a phenomenon widely popularized by Boomers… before them, it was much more common to have a multi generational household, or at least to house the kids untill they had their own capability to move out on their own.

Boomers cause problems and then blame other people for having to deal with the problems they caused… they can’t figure out the cause and effect, they can’t be responsible if it means acknowledging that they caused the problem.

  • ~90% of single family home rental properties in the US are owned by ‘mom and pop’ landlords.

A ‘mom and pop’ landlord being defined as owning 1 to 5 properties.

Most often that number is 2, they own their home and then a single other home they rent out.

The corpos are a big problem, but the bulk of the problem are the modern American kulaks, and anyone who isn’t telling you this fact is lying to you by omission and unserious about solving the problem.

The Russian and Chinese communist revolutions redistributed/reconstituted land and property ownership, away from the ‘mom and pop’ landlords of their times.

I am not saying they did so perfectly justly.

I am saying that very similar intial conditions are now recurring.

Yes, if you weren’t aware, communist revolutions are usually, very significantly, rebellions against landlords, all landlords.

The Boomers legitimately do not comprehend that they largely did not teach their children how to cook.

They’ll complain about it, and belittle you for not knowing how, whine about your door dash habit… but it never registers in their neuron scented lead compartments that they were the ones who failed to pass on skills like cooking, and values like frugality.

But I mean that’s par for the course. Narcissists elect a narcissist rapist president, that’s your problem to deal with now bucko, just accept it, life’s tough, blah blah blah I’m completely allergic to acountability, the world exists to worship me, wheee!

  • Yes, helping rightfully displeased electronics customers, helping the homeless, as well as helping people who do not return the shopping cart, during the super bowl.

Hell I’ve done a fair bit of my own … call it unprofessionally qualified trauma response i suppose, a number of times.

Yep, many people in many situations can be shitty…

Not shitty enough to make me idolize the Joker or Thanos.

Also like this is art, its kind of subjective. Looks like scrubs to me, guess you don’t see it, but that doesn’t make me an ‘overthinker’, it just makes you an oddly defensive thought policer.
