Yes! Give me boring UI please. I don’t want rounded corners or modern crap. I’m annoyed by the new Firefox UI.

Agreed. But that’s not all is being used for. Many tutorials, guides and who knows what else are in discord servers.

This is the reason I don’t like discord (alongside its lack of privacy, ownership).

I am aware they announced recently that the info will now be searchable (for servers that allow), but I consider it an information black hole.

So many people decide to use it and all that information is not searchable. It’s also lost if discord ever desires it, or the server admin bans you, or wtv.

Moving to a more open internet has to come from the masses, but the masses like Facebook so here we are.

It still didn’t come to me but I won’t use any feature or service locked behind a face scan or government issued ID document being provided, unless it’s a bank I use or my country’s government website.

Or I will provide a fake ID if I can make it work, but generally speaking I’d rather just not use that feature or service.
