It only takes 51 in the senate to have a real trial, which is the polar opposite of what happened in the last two impeachments. That means the public would be hammered with all the evidence, for weeks if not longer.

Let’s see if any of those Republican senators are still politically able to corruptly vote against it after that.

            Think of it this way.

Obama saved the economy and caught bin-Ladn.

They still turned around and voted for Donnie three times.

These idiots are going to need to be coddled.

I’d love to see them drown in their own tears, but it’s not going to happen.

The point is, even Ted Cruz and Katie Britt need to be scared right now because no Republican Senator’s seat is safe. Do you really think the “fuck you I got mine” party is going to hold the line on corruptly voting against removing convicted-felon Trump when they face the legitimate possibility of losing their jobs?

If voters hated Trump’s corruption they’d have voted him out in 2024.

Trump is the same POS he was then, the only thing that changed is he destroyed the economy.

Give me one reason to think this election was about anything except the economy.

Because the second thing on most lists within a couple points was corruption, state of democracy, or something similar depending on the wording.

I’ve never seen that anywhere near the top 10 on a list of people’s issues, it’s uniquely his doing withing my conscious lifetime.

I’ll give you one. The gop wants to have Vance as president for ten years. Trump has long outlived his usefulness. Once the new term starts, an impeachment with removal is the perfect opportunity to get rid of him while blaming democrats.

Electorally, He’s more useful throwing tantrums than impeached. Putting Vance in there isn’t helpful in any way I can see.

The last thing we need is a slightly more competent fascist

So two more years of him bulldozing national monuments, wars, inflation and ICE kill people?

I’ll take vance over some mythical democratic supermajority.

A lot of those happened because people just blindly followed Trump’s Executive Orders. In theory with more blue AGs and control of House and Senate there’ll be more pushback on the Executive Orders overstepping their power.

Time will tell if that’s true or not, but the blue wave had to happen for there to even be a chance of pushback.

Swapping Trump for Vance wouldn’t change anything as they said unless people just didn’t follow Vance’s executive orders the way they do Trump’s

I get the desire for vengeance but look at reality.

The people who voted Blue last night after voting for Don three times are the ones who matter.

We have to convince them that the Dems can actually make their lives better.

Impeachment can be dragged out for years.

Real results like lowering gas prices and getting out of Iran have to come first.

I agree. The people who swung the election are not true blue democrats. You have to give them something of substance.

Also you need to acknowledge why they voted for trump, then against trump. They had years of corporate democrats ignoring their problems.

Trump said he would fix things. It was a lie, but that is what he said. And a drowning man will reach for anything that will save him.

So now you must convince them you’re the ones to fix things, or they will flip back in two years.

Having said all that. I yearn to have trump and his clowns removed and prosecuted. But we know from the Biden years the Dems won’t do that.

What makes you think you’re going to get justice by impeaching him a third time?

You don’t have enough votes in the Senate to get a win, and the GOP will drag it out for two years and then call the Dems a do nothing party.

You want to get all those folks who voted Blue for the first time last night to keep coming back. That means prioritizing things like affordability.

If Trump signs Medicare For All I really don’t care if they call it the Donald Trump is the Greatest President By Far Bill.
