I recommend not to use Google as default search engine well. If you think about using Google, then maybe Startpage as a “frontend to Google” is the better alternative.
That’s a new one for me. Looks like its something similar to searxng. Speaking of Searxng, self hosting is also an alternative. :-)

Yeah, I use duckduckgo for most, buy occasionally uses google search.

Sorry can’t really help you much, seen plenty people on here that looked into it more.
I have Startpage, Yandex and a few others depending on the subject.
In trying out possible candidates I noticed DDG was really one of the worst, even if I wanted to like it.
All I wanted to say with the comment
their redirect url now doesn’t even contain the original url. it’s simply impossible to get the original url without visiting google’s shitty redirect url
i use 4get.ca these days as their ‘google api’ option mostly works. startpage.com worked well enough until very recently when it started showing some endless antibot thing to me for some reason
Are there any matching issues for the URL that you are trying to deal with? Maybe someone is already working on it
