I think it’s very clear that we will always prefer the original over the remake.
The difference here is that the state is the one executing a prisoner, and potentially offering it up as live-streamed event, through their own official channel.
because charlie kirk didn’t become a martyr due to his public execution, let’s do it again. this person will definitely not inspire others who see they get national attention.

I don’t think I’m the only liberal who finds both of these needlessly grisly.

But one is violence of the state being live-streamed for a reason that is proven to not work.
Also it makes up a strawman as most people find both very disturbing.
