The first purge movie was just really heavy social commentary on POC and racism, homelessness amongst veterans, jealousy amongst neighbors, and the wealthy who practically are killing people for fun at this point.
And for some reason they always assume they won’t be a victim in the purge. Like when people think it would be cool to be a 40k space marine when there’s a 99% chance you end up as a servitor.
Those people don’t really understand the social and political commentary that’s been in WH40K. Albeit it’s less blatantly obvious now and more dark satire but it’s there.
It would even suck to be the emperor of mankind. Everyone is suffering for Grim-Dumb reasons in 40k like the nuclear rodmen that refuel starships or whatever… even a dumb robot on rails using limit switches can do the job but noooooo we have to melt an entire human being per rod bundle.
Yeah unfortunately in the Apocalypse, most people, by definition, are dead, so the chances are that you are also dead and thus cannot live out your Mad Max fantasies.
And most preppers will last as long as the canned food does. A lot of them are just people who want to kill people without problems with no thought to continuity of civilization after an event.
A ton of chuds think just because they have a tricked out bro-rifle they’ll be surviving deep into the apocalypse. The ones whose truck are covered in gun decals, have a “protected by the 2nd amendment” sign in their front yards and punisher skull shit all over the place.
Where as real prepparing people aren’t just hoarding canned goods and ammunition. They’re learning animal husbandry, how to grow crops, rotation of crops, ways to clean and purify water. Trying to rebuild society stuff that the typical reactionary couldn’t understand.
There seems to be a concerning part of American culture where they wanna shoot people without being arrested for it.
I think a lot of people would really like the Purge
I don’t understand the Purge.
If crime were legal for a day I’d do things like pay a mortgage off with company money, not murder randos.

Yup they see cool looking space marine and don’t understand they were basically tortured into shape from birth.
it would NOT be cool to be a space marine, or anything in 40k

The Purge is an example of this, as well as a lot of zombie movies and apocalypse movies.

75% of them have put 1 mag through each gun
