Open Source@lemmy.ml•Creator of free Adobe clones unveils open-source Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word replications — Autodesk tools and other subscription-based services may come next
612·3 days agoI watched the video (partially because I can’t stand it, such annoying video).
So what’s your point?? Go use it if that’s your turf, don’t come around insulting me for no reason.
Do you have a skin in that fame? Why are you so uptight about a vibecoded project? And you are all on the defensive while telling me I have a fragile worldview he he… Projection? Maybe?
There are ton of missing features, buggy ones, crashes… What’s the point of your dummy doing some tests on the slop?
My point was/is: it seems easy to claims victory these days with half a winning battle.
My point still hold, while yours seem moot.
Good day my little world shattering wannabe ;)

159·3 days agoFunny seeing people losing their shit yet again in front of “AI” claims…
Like all the other spectacular previous claims that is not mentioned: it’s a bird with half wings - it does not fly.
I also created a Photoshop clone, the only caveat is it crashes at start, BUT I TOTALLY DID IT!

261·3 days agoThat was written in the sky…
Open-Source is literally used as marketing tool for the under dogs until they reach a critical mass of users.
People were fighting on social media, defending the product, suggesting it, “it’s open source”, people were doing the marketing for them.
No wonder why people feel like they got raped, after all the hard work they have done for them…
But at least they didn’t contribute code, did you? Not me, because I am old enough to never use such products, it’s a classic rug pull, bait and switch.
Open source doesn’t mean it’s good, it must be hold by a bunch of strangers in T-shirt, not in full suite…
Corpo in disguise…

That’s why I use “pass” as
password-store.
Same complains about the interview processes. Nothing there.

0·9 days agoAll thats needed to wipe the disk is to delete
You are jumping to a point in time after what I am asking:
“all you need” is to delete a key -> No, you need to encrypt the disk before, which is the step prior, and without it, deleting a key change a thing…
So basically, the part “hardware” built-in could make sense, but the guy didn’t specify any if this…
In other words, zeroing the disk is going to be faster “in normal circumstances”.

0·9 days agoHow computing a result from a ?4096?bits key for each byte goes faster than writing 0 for each byte?

If you read again, you realize I am not talking about what they slopped, I was saying that I did mine and it is crashing at start, see by yourself:
That’s text comprehension, I am just going to end this charade right aboutttt… Here.
