Volunteered at a local repair cafe, it’s fun to fix things. And having a clear goal and purpose helps (instead of collecting ewaste at home and “I will figure it out one day”).
You get a few slobs and weirdos, but that’s par for the course.

iFixit for repairing electronics. Even if it does not have your exact model, you can get good ideas from reading/watching teardowns.

By “undercut” do you mean these communities would sell their own produce? Local farmers can sell to decent grocery stores and co-ops.
But either way: massive gardens would require massive amounts of labor. If you wish to reduce labor, you need machinery, which is expensive, and organized fields, which requires some management and oversight. And crop management. And so on. I don’t think any small-scale farm can “undercut” a massive conglomerate that produces enough potatoes a year to fill Ohio three layers deep. (Exagerrating of course, but you get the idea)

Misommar was meh. Yes, it had a new and unusual aesthetic for a horror movie, but that’s about it. Cults prey on the weak and traumatized, we get it. I don’t remember there being much of a plot, just weirdness and violence for sake of weirdness and violence.
But then the bigger issue is all the ignorant people who start associating flower crowns and Nordic (and even Slavic) traditions with “just like Midsommar!!”. Same happened with Kazakhstan (" very naice!") and Eastern Europe (after “Hostel”)

Loved Outer Wilds, but yeah, some clever “time dilation” could be applied while exploring inside of planets or particularly complex segments or close to a goal. So many times I had to go into Ash Twin to try to finish a puzzle before the sand rises. It does help that translator pauses time though, and options let you pause conversations too.

Liked Witcher 3, but absolutely hated Gwent that most people seem to love. What do you mean players use their own cards? How could this be even remotely balanced? I ended up simply running out of cards three times I tried to play.
(The sentiment applies to IRL card-hoarding games)

Does anyone remember Dendy? (Famicom/NES hardware clone common in post-soviet countries)
33 years later, Russia’s hardware still only good enough for NES games. Incredible progress.
Awful tax burden for who? I pay less total tax in NY because they do not collect local income taxes. And property tax and sales tax are pretty much the same as the state I moved from.
1 bed apartment for 2-3K statewide? Where are you getting this from? A nice 2/2 with a garage in a desirable neighborhood of Buffalo is $2K.

IIRC (from my coworker) Samsung had a feature where their phones could somehow emulate swiping a magnetic strip on a reader. This was ~6 years ago, so only some terminals had tap-to-pay.
I usually see the opposite (on reddit of course):
“I want to run Kali on my phone, plz help”.
“I am a Linux noob and went with Arch because I heard all the cool kids use it, now something bork”.
“Which distro???” (same question was last asked 4 hours ago)

Also moz://a not too long ago
I also really dislike “AI” as a blanket term being used for LLMs and GenAI, but now we are dragging things that were never called AI in the first place into it? (as well as specific-purpose-built models that were called machine learning at the time)
Spam detection, autocomplete, OCR, weather prediction…
Almost all of that is narrow, single purpose machine learning, computer vision, speech recognition and optimisation - the AI field as it has existed for 30+ years.
I am sure author knows exactly what kind of “AI” people don’t like, so this post just comes off as very snarky “yet you participate in it” kind of argument.
